Mission and values
Our NGO was founded in response to the challenges that arose in Ukrainian society with the onset of war. We brought together concerned artists, civic activists, and cultural figures to create charitable cultural events that carry not only artistic but also social significance. From the very beginning, we have been organizing concerts, performances, and festivals that help engage Ukrainian society in active cultural life, support morale, and address urgent social issues.
Our team seeks not only to promote Ukrainian art but also to use it as a tool to combat hostile propaganda and disinformation. We believe that culture has the power to change people’s minds, which is why every project we undertake aims to promote the values of freedom, human rights, and democracy.
Our goals and areas of activity The primary goal of our organization is to protect and realize the social, creative, and economic rights of the entire Ukrainian society. We actively work on creating cultural products that address important societal issues and help raise awareness of human rights, democratization processes, and the cultural heritage of our nation.
Our key areas of activity include: – Creating projects that promote human rights: We organize events that not only entertain but also inform the public about human rights violations and ways to protect them. – Combating disinformation and propaganda: Through cultural events, we create alternative content that counters hostile narratives and promotes truthful information. – Fostering democratization processes in Ukrainian society: Democracy is the foundation of societal development, ensuring the rights and freedoms of every citizen, contributing to state stability, and improving the quality of life. – Supporting Ukrainian culture and art: We aim to preserve and develop Ukrainian art in all its forms, supporting artists and cultural institutions, while preserving national traditions and cultural heritage. – Shaping national identity: Through art, we work towards an inclusive understanding of national identity, fostering unity and overcoming the influence of hostile narratives. – Promoting Ukrainian culture worldwide: By participating in international festivals, exhibitions, concerts, and other events, we aim to create a positive image of Ukraine as a country with a rich history, creative potential, and cultural diversity.
Mission of the “Holosy” NGO
The mission of the “Holosy” NGO is to create a society that respects and actively defends human rights, fosters the development of Ukrainian culture and art, and resists disinformation and propaganda. Our mission is to form a platform that unites people in the pursuit of justice, equality, and unity in society through cultural and educational projects.
We strive to be a driving force for change, embodying the principles of democracy, freedom, and dignity for all, regardless of background, social status, or beliefs. By organizing a variety of events that combine education and art, we aim to provide people with the information they need to understand and protect their rights. We believe that knowledge and awareness are the first steps toward building a just society.
One of our main areas is fighting disinformation. We are convinced that truthful information is the foundation of a healthy society. Through cultural initiatives involving artists, journalists, and activists, we create content that helps dispel myths and counter media manipulation. Our events aim to ensure that every citizen can distinguish truth from propaganda, fostering critical thinking and resilience to misinformation.
Ukrainian culture and art are also a priority for us. We believe that preserving national traditions and developing modern forms of art are crucial for strengthening national identity. We support artists and cultural institutions whose work promotes the ideas of freedom, equality, and solidarity. Our goal is to create conditions for the development of creative communities that contribute to cultural diversity and raise the cultural level of society.
Forming national identity through art and cultural events is a key task for our organization. We aim to ensure that every individual feels part of the greater Ukrainian community, regardless of region, language, or religious beliefs. Our projects are designed to foster an inclusive understanding of Ukrainian national identity, where differences are respected, but unity is cherished.
We believe that art can best foster understanding among people and overcome social barriers. Art becomes a tool for dialogue, allowing people to express their experiences, views, and emotions. That’s why we actively engage artists in our initiatives aimed at strengthening social connections and creating a shared cultural space.
Our mission also includes supporting communities affected by conflict and social injustice. We strive to give them a voice by providing access to platforms where their issues can be heard. We work to ensure that everyone has equal access to cultural resources and opportunities, regardless of economic status or place of residence.
Holosy NGO believes that only through joint efforts, support for truth and culture, and the development of critical thinking can we build a just and resilient society. We aim to inspire others to join our cause and together create a world where every voice is heard, and every right is protected.
We believe that art and culture are integral parts of the resistance that our people are showing not only on the battlefield but also in the spheres of information and consciousness. Culture has a huge potential to change lives, shape values, and support morale. That’s why we are working to create new cultural projects that, on the one hand, counter propaganda, and on the other, open doors to a free, democratic future for our country. Our team consists of people who deeply understand the importance of culture in the fight for freedom and independence. We are doing everything possible to ensure that every event has not only cultural significance but also social and public value. Our work is our contribution to victory, to the revival of the Ukrainian nation, and to building a future where human rights, freedom of speech, and art are integral parts of public life.
Together, we work to make each of our events a small step towards a greater goal: peace, prosperity, and the cultural revival of Ukraine.
