DREVO FEST – International Festival of Wedding Traditions of the World

DREVO FEST is a unique international ethno-festival dedicated to wedding traditions from different cultures around the world. The festival blends cultural diversity, historical heritage, and contemporary artistic interpretations of wedding rituals that accompany the creation of a family in various traditions. Established in 2013, it has become a platform for intercultural dialogue, bringing together researchers, ethnographers, artists, folklorists, and everyone interested in authentic traditions and their relevance in the modern world.


Festival Objectives

Preservation of Cultural Heritage – revival, research, and promotion of authentic wedding traditions from different cultures.
Intercultural Dialogue – creating a space for knowledge exchange and experience-sharing among ethnic communities.
Formation of National Identity – exploring the richness of various cultures helps people better understand and appreciate their own cultural heritage.
Artistic Interpretation of Traditions – integrating traditional culture into modern art through theatrical performances, cinematic projects, music, and dance performances.
Support for Traditional Crafts – showcasing and promoting folk crafts related to wedding traditions, such as embroidery, weaving, jewelry making, and more.
Promotion of Cultural Heritage – utilizing media and digital platforms to raise awareness and interest in wedding traditions.
Support for the Institution of Family – emphasizing the importance of family values and the role of traditions in forming strong familial bonds.

Presentation of Wedding Ceremonies from Different Cultures – participants demonstrate unique wedding rituals of their respective ethnic groups.
