Kazkosvit in the Lavra – November 1, announcement
We invite our young guests!
November 1 at 2:00 PM
“Fairy World in the Lavra” is a series of live readings for children held at the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra. The project’s goal is to awaken in children a love for Ukrainian culture, traditions, and fairytale heritage through the power of the spoken word, folk wisdom, and art.
On November 1, children will once again enter the magical world of folk tales. The stories will be read by Olha Sobko, a theatre and film actress — a professional performer who will skillfully convey the beauty of the Ukrainian language, creating an atmosphere of warmth, imagination, and kindness.
As part of the project, there will also be a creative workshop led by artist Lesia Maksaieva. Children will have the opportunity to craft their own ethno-bracelets, inspired by Ukrainian ornaments and colors. This is not only a fun artistic activity but also an introduction to the symbolism of folk art, which develops imagination and fine motor skills.
“Fairy World” is a space of warmth, communication, and inspiration — where a fairy tale becomes a bridge between past and present, between tradition and a child’s dream.
