“Kazkosvit in the Lavra”: A Journey Through the Pages of Enchanting Stories
Fairy tales can entertain, but they can also comfort and even dispel the darkness.
Young guests of the National Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra Reserve will discover this for themselves on July 5 at 14:00, during the first gathering of the new project “Talescape at the Lavra.” Together with the NGO “Hlosy,” we especially invite children of military families and displaced families to join.
In the peaceful Lavra garden, Vasyl Symonenko’s tale “King Crybaby and the Tickler” will come to life — a kind, witty, and wise story about the power of laughter, freedom, and love. It will be read by actress Olha Cherniavska from Poltava, who will guide the audience through this journey of imagination and wonder.
Before the storytelling begins, children can take part in a creative workshop led by artist Lesia Maksaieva, where they’ll make festive paper crowns — and feel like both the creators and heroes of their own fairy tales.
Let this magical meeting in the Lavra garden be the beginning of a new and kind-hearted story.
